About Parker Lewis

Parker Lewis Instructor Bio University of Minnesota Boot Camps

Parker has been mentoring, tutoring, and teaching since the age of 10. What began in his mom’s kindergarten classroom led to a tutoring center in his college town and eventually blossomed at an immersive coding boot camp in San Francisco named Galvanize.

He began programming robotic Legos in high school but pursued the humanities at the University of California, Davis, earning a degree in Philosophy with a minor in Chinese. He picked up developing software again at Galvanize’s 24-week, full-time immersive course on Web Development and was brought back as an Associate Instructor upon graduating. After climbing to the rank of Instructor, he left his life in San Francisco, moving to Minneapolis to join the Technology Leadership Program at Target. There he has worked as a Software Engineer on a Data Science team using Big Data technologies and a team developing a Full-Stack JavaScript application.
